History of the Homestake Opera House - The Jewel of the Black Hills

On February 19, 1923, the Homestake Opera House presented "Better Times". The performance was presented by The Mammoth Home Talent Minstrel Show and boasted of special scenery, wonderful electrical effects and correct costumes. Prices for the show were 55 cents, 85 cents and $1.10 and included a war tax.
