Operahouse Art Recreation Fund

One of the most astoinishing things about the Operahouse was the detail in the beautiful art work that was everywhere in the theater. Unfortunatly, most of it was lost in the fire. A mural wrapped around the top of the entire theater. There were beautiful stenciled images in the lobby and entrace to the theater. Great attention to detail was spent on the plaster sculptures and trim work that occupied the theater. Fortunately, enough of the plaster trim was salvaged that they can now make latex molds to accurately reconstruct the Homestake Opera House to its original splendor.
